i'm just wondering how the fuck you're supposed to get a crank sensor to go into the block (3.1 cutlass supreme) without pulling the engine. it's a very very tight fit.
thanks in advance

It should not be that tight. It should slide in with hand pressure and maybe just a little nudge when you hit the o-ring. Make sure you wire brush the hole to get any sludge or glaze out of there. Oil the sensor when installing.
don't know about a 3.1 but the 3.4 dohc u move the metal coolant line out of the way, remove the passenger front wheel, remove that rubber inner fender thingy(not an inner fender well), remove the crank pulley, take off the harmonic balancer, and remove the sensor.

I just did both my crank sensors and it wasn't too hard
basiclly I just got under the car and jammed my arm in the small opening where the exhaust comes down felt around and pulled it out. and to put it in I just felt with one finger while the other four held on to the sensor and slid it in. should be a thread her about it , I don't remember how informative it was.
I wish 10% of the people on the road knew how to drive
