I'm with ya on burning it to the ground. I have been thinking the same thing past couple days, unfortunately I need the car for work.
I didnt think about the CPS or even the TPS, guess I should look into it.

Replaced ignition module and all 3 coils with my spare set. Same problem. Swapped map sensors with the one from my dohc. Still runs like ass. Disconnected TPS to see if there was any change, nope still ran like ass maybe a little worse, but its already so bad that it would be hard to tell the difference, only with the SES light on. No codes stored (tested before I pulled the TPS harness so I'm sure TPS code is stored now).

Don't have a fuel pressure tester and cant seem to find anyone (parts stores included) that does. If I pull the vacumn line of the fuel regulator and sniff/suck on it, I dont taste or smell any fuel and if I depress the pintle in the test valve while the engine is running fuel rockets out. I think fueling is good. Theres too much coincidence that this started when I changed the plugs, wires and fuel filter. Presently I put all the old stuff back in, the plugs and the fuel filter, except the plug wires cause the old ones tore the metal clips off a few. The first set of wires I bought tore the clips off when I removed them. I returned them and got a set of wires a step up and theyre currently on the car. I can't imagine 2 sets of wires being bad. I'm at a complete loss on what to check.

        you said white crusty plugs?
that means you are running hotter than ususal
one cause of that is running lean
test your fuel pressure you might have a bad pump

Well ya white crusty plugs, but I attribute that to 100k of use. I sucked it up and bought a fuel pressure test gauge. Around 40 psi at idle and 45ish at wot. Pulled the plenum, all injectors ohm out at 12.2-12.3. On another note it appears that it doesnt have a rev limiter. As it kissed 6.5-7k when I was revving it to test fuel pressure. Ooops! Thought 6k was rev limiter on 3.1s?

          So:
          good fuel pressure
          good coils/module
          injectors ohm out OK
No codes stored in the computer
yet after a minute or so to driving wont rev past 4k and has no power

              hmmmm.... i wonder!

how can i really check though. I hit the cat with my fist and didnt hear any chunks rattling around. Its got this old school cat thats just huge. Thing is it idles fine. Its just any time I give it more than like 15% throttle it just makes that air sucking bog sound and nothing happens except for some wicked shuddering (sometimes).
