  • Stuck Throttle Valve?

    i heard that the 440T4's can sometimes get a stuck throttle valve on the tranny, where the linkage hooks up too.. and i think i have the symptom b/c it used to be very easy the linkage to pull now its hard as shit and makes my peddle that way too.. is there any fix for this? the motor will b out soon.. so i was wondering wut i can do to fix this prob while i got it out.. thanks

    Did you disconnect the trans TV cable and see if it's binding? Or is the linkage just stiff? The 3.1's throttle linkage is a type of design when if it needs lubrication, it gets VERY stiff. You may want to try lubing the linkage with some light duty oil and see if it helps any.

      its really stiff, almost like if u pull up the linkage, it will wanna shoot back down, too stiff actually.. the best thing to do is take the side cover off and see wuts goin on?
