Well, me and the Greasy Kid are back.
The great '93 into a '91 graft is done and now we have a driver - sort of.
Yes, it starts, runs and then ... it shuts down (usually takes 9-10 miles or so of driving). The engine turns over and there is spark but no start - not even a hint of start (like a misfire)...
Let it sit (even on a hot hot day) for maybe 5 minutes, and you can restart and drive another 9 miles before the same thing happens.
We know this engine was faultless (that's why we transplanted it into the
GTZ) when it was in the '93 base Beretta, (and yes we do have a Check Engine light but no computer) so I think this is a vacuum issue because
there is also no cruise function.
The GTZ is also for sale (new : driveshafts, front calipers, brake lines, tranny (from a Cavalier with 93k), fuel pump/filter, fuel filter, upper & lower mounts, starter, coil pack + ignition module ($$$), front struts & rear shocks (Monroe Sensatrac), water pump, etc.) BUT I WANT IT TO RUN NORMAL!!!
We have the damn GMC manuals (suck) but there is no section on the vacuum lines, even though every other car on the road usually has an underhood sticker with the diagram.
Your suggestions welcome.
