  • DTC P0420 -Anyway to temporarly disable this code?

Need to pass emissions inspection and threw this code a few days ago.
Anyway to temporarly disable this code and pass emissions?
Any tricks related to this code?
Which O2 sensor is picking up this fault code, upstream or downstream o2 ?

    It's the downstream O2.

It's called tuning the ECU... Yes you can set all of the secondary O2 codes to no reporting which will then trip the readiness monitor to ready... but if you only disable the 420 code it will still not pass and will never show as "ready"

BUT you need a tuner to do this...

tuner as in a person, or tuner as in software/hardware ?

one or both... Some tuners will be able to modify your ECU without a huge cost, for example DHP owners, but some software out there HPTuners is credit limited so you would have to pay them for the credits used to allow changes to your ecu unless they have a shop version which in that case I think they would also charge you for a base "Tune"

You can purchase this, unscrew your secondary O2 and install this, then reinstall it. Works for me.

Depends on the reason for the code though... modified with no cat, removed sensor completely, or just a bad sensor causing the code... That spacer wont help a bad sensor, or like me where I don't even have that bung on my exhaust anymore.
