Newbie here so try to take it easy on me. I tried the Fiero blog pages but no one could help me Here is the story, I picked up a basket case 85 Fiero GT for my son and I to work on. I am having trouble identifying what year and configuration our motor is. I see that some 3100's have a MAF sensor and some do not. Ours does not have one. The motor starts but runs like shit. I looked up the PCM number on line and it says its from a 95 Monte carlo era car. The guy I picked the car up from totally butchered the stock harness and the new harness. There has to be a thousand wires going everywhere in the car. He cut out most of the Fiero harness that runs through the center console and he cut out the entire Fiero harness that comes out into the right-hand side of the engine compartment. It looks like he took a complete wire harness out of a donor car and just started cutting wires that he did not need. With that being said I am looking for wiring help for an idiot (me). If I was to take a 3100 engine and a PCM with NO wire harness and put it on an engine test stand is there a schematic that could tell me how to wire it? What I mean is " The black wire from the O2 sensor needs to go to a certain pin in the PCM". Any help would be appreciated.

93-95 3100 in everything but the A-cars did NOT use a MAF sensor. the 94-95 A-cars used one, kind of odd and integrated into the TB/intake manifold IIRC.
if the PCM is from a L/N/W body then a MAF is not used.
i could post the PCM wiring diagrams for both the 85 fiero and whatever car you think the harness came from, if you think it would help.
