I've got a 93 lumina base model with the 3.1 in it. Been running a bit rough at idle when at normal temps. So I decided to use some seafoam after a good drive and see what kind of results I would get. I poured a little more than 1/3 of the can into a container, and let it get sucked into the brake booster line that connects to the upper plenum.
When I first started the car (before using the seafoam) it was running awful with the brake booster line off, then as I went to pour the seafoam through it started revving itself to around 2k rmps. I continued to pour for about a good 45 seconds. The car started stumbling and right before it was about to stall I shut it off and let it sit for 30 minutes.
Connected the brake booster line and started the car, a small bit of smoke shot out for a split second then stopped. And never continued smoking after that.
Did I do something wrong here? I did some reading before I did it to get an idea on how to do it. I feel like it shouldve been smoking like crazy since the car has 242k
Also if it helps,, I put the rest of it in a half tank of gas
