I fouled my plugs in the first few test drives after my swap. Bad plugs could cause some of your drivability issues.

The only wiring I haven't tugged on with the engine running is the interior wiring. Engine bay wiring seems to check out.
Positive battery cable is tight as well. And sometimes, like yesterday, the issue will come and go without moving the car while idling.'89 Firebird, 3500 Turbo, T56, 9-bolt/4.11

Ok so I replaced the crank sensor wiring with wiring straight out of a wrecker; no noticeable change. This morning when it stalled after turning a corner I noticed the check engine light and the shift light were flickering a little with the key left in the on position. It wouldn't start until I turned the key back to off first.
ECM?? Or maybe I'm also thinking the G1 chip adapter might be loose.'89 Firebird, 3500 Turbo, T56, 9-bolt/4.11

It couldn't hurt to check the chip/adapter. I imagine if the ecm were bad the car would do it all the time or not run at all, although the shifter light and the ses light both flickering is starting to make me wonder about your interior wiring. You do have to modify that to run the ecm you are running, right?

Most of the interior wiring was repinning the stock wires. I think there are 3 or 4 splices in the interior for vss, some injector wire, and maybe one or two more
I suppose some of the pins could be loose too though.
Unfortunately I won't have time to check out the interior wiring until Sunday or Monday.Last edited by caffeine; 07-05-2012, 12:02 PM.'89 Firebird, 3500 Turbo, T56, 9-bolt/4.11

Ok so I tools the center console off and the g1 adapter was crooked in its socket. I'm not using a proper ECM tray for it so I'm guessing the center console was pressing against it esp during hard cornering and over bumps.
I've been driving the past couple of days with the console removed and haven't had any issues. I'll probably just modify my ECM tray some more to get it sitting nicely.'89 Firebird, 3500 Turbo, T56, 9-bolt/4.11

Glad it was an easy fix and worked out
