3.1 bogs and stalls when warmed up

My mom's Euro just won't quit with the problems...

We replaced the CPS a while back (well... Quality Tune-Up did cause my dad gave up looking for the problem...). After we got it back the car seemed to run fine. However, when the car reaches operation temperature (195*) it starts to bog when idling, and occasionally stalls. We checked the spark plugs and found two of them were fouled so we replaced them as well as all of the wires (they were the originals from 1992). It still runs shitty, bogging down and occasionally stalling at stops when warmed up.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like the EGR is stuck open

How do I check that? I don't have any scanning equipment.

fuel pump or filter or both?

We were gonna change the fuel filter this weekend so we'll see with that... also... don't fuel pumps whine when they're going out? I seem to recall my dad's Safari's fuel pump whining when it went out.

I had the same problem with my car.when my engine was cold it was berely noticeable but when it was hot i would bog and stall at idle.I am assuming that you had the 2 sparks plugs that was on the same Coil that was fouled.I think you have one of your coil that is cracked. they tend to go bad because of the heat (between the rad and the engine)

Dammit I hope it isn't that... I'm gonna kick myself in the head if it is, I just had them out twice to replace the ICM (had a no start condition that turned out to be the CPS).

that's what i was just going to ask, about the coils. check for white or gray tracking!
