90 deg does not have to be exact. 88 or 95 will not hurt. These are torque stretch bolts. When you see a turn after torque in the manual, I am sure it mentions that, make sure you use new bolts. This is usually the case on aluminum heads. Reuse an old bolt and it can break.

about the intake gaskets, if there broaken that's probably the problem. the only way to see is to look at the coolent trace markes in the intake it's self. you'll beable to tell, it will be obvious.2002 Pontiac GrandAm GT1

Thanks
I was going to get new head bolts.
I was looking at a head gasket set at pickproparts.com but I am not sure what is included in it. I know I need egr gaskets, head gaskets, intake gaskets, exhaust manifold gaskets, valve cover gaskets, and a distrib plug oring???. Can anyone think of anything else?

there is a coolent bypass pipe that has an O-ring, also there is a rectangular coolent bypass under the intake, which should come with the intake gaskets. one other thing you might want to replace the t-state while your in there, i don't remember if it has a rubber type gasket of paper, but it's a good time to be inthere and replace it! you'll also need a small tube of RTV or slycone and some cans of brake cleaner. the gaskets seal better if you spray both serfarce with it! that's all i can think of!2002 Pontiac GrandAm GT1

If you get a head gasket KIT, it will include everything you need except the bolts.-Brad-

i thinks the lower manifold requires it and there are 2 indentation in the valve covers that need RTV of sylcone. 180 all that it would do is lower the temp of th coolent, helping with a knock issue. it also might lower your gass milage, but now would be the time to do it!2002 Pontiac GrandAm GT1
