  • Intake Manifold Fitment Question

I have used intake manifolds that came off my car when I replaced it with my ported and polished manifolds.
My buddy needs them for his grand am since he damaged them somehow. (Not sure on the details)
He wants both the upper and lower intake manifolds from me, and I want to make sure they will fit just fine.
He has a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am and I have them off a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am.
So, 2001 will be going into the 2003. I have told him about the newer gaskets and he will be using those.
Thanks for the clarification....I just don't want to get his hopes up for nothing.
I assume they will be just fine, but I want to make sure.

The junk yard wants a decent amount for the 2003 version, so I was hoping my 2001 version would suffice (Since it's free )

That is fantastic, he will be very pleased. I was not sure since GM did that whole gasket revision thing, I didn't know if they did an intake manifold revision either.
I assume that they would fit for any of the year Grand Am in that particular run right? (99-05)
      Thanks for the quick response.

1999 model year manifolds are different and have some distinct shortcomings.
        00-05 manifolds are virtually identical.

Oh, alright. Well, that is nice to know in any case.
As long as it fits perfectly we are all set.
He just did not want to get half way through the job and not be able to finish.

This thread may be closed now or whatever as I no longer have use for it.
          Thanks.
