  • Question : When should the fan turn on?

So when does the fan turn on?
I just did the head gaskets up. I've double checked that everything is hooked up, but the fan just doesn't come on. Is it just too cold out for the fan to kick on? The temp gauge goes almost to half way before the thermostat opens and it drops to just over a quarter. The hose off the water pump feel pretty cool (OK kind of warm), while the other hose is pretty warm (OK hot).
I also replaced the thermostat water pump, radiator, heater core and heater hoses. The car runs great and I get no warning lights.

I was trying to pull the info back up to confirm with my mitchell1 but i seem to have forgotten my pw, I'll try to check again on monday..... but,

I recall it was unusually high, low fan kicks on around 212 iirc and high fan at 224.
sigpicHow to make High performance Emissions:
A "true" High flow converter, straight pipe.
Low/No flow EGR valve, block off plate.
Carbon canister and purge valve mod, place in large 30 Gallon can, cover, and place curbside, the city will do the rest.
PCV valve and vent tube, reroute to exhaust to dump where it belongs, on the ground. Or add breathers and let it all free.

Mine is around 210 judging by my idiot gauge with 3 actual numbers.
