Hello everyone. Internet forums are great. I have a customer that complains her 1999 3.1 powered Buick Century Custom stalls wile driving. And is hard to start after it stalls. I have checked a few things on it now. Only code thrown is a p405 code. Which I think could be remedied with an EGR valve cleaning. It had a vacuum leak and a bad plug wire which I have since repaired. Car runs much better now but she is still complaining of the car stalling.
I have yet to have the vehicle stall for me. Rather than start changing parts I figured Id post here and see what the experts have to say. First thing I planned to change if I have to throw parts at it is the CPS (Crank Position Sensor). Which sounds like the culprit. Anyone have any ways to test the CPS?
Thanks in advance
Brad
