  • o2 Issues on the 95 Grand Prix

    I had a 98 monte carlo 3100 engine harness spliced to my 95 gp harness so I can tune with hptuners. I had a new o2 sensor installed. I can't recall what brand it was. The 02's wouldn't fluctuate and would remain under 500mv at all times. I replaced the O2 with a Delphi OEM O2 sensor. My o2's read under 20mv at all times. Here is the weird thing, the o2's will go above 500mv if I put my foot in the pedal, but when I let go of the gas it goes under 20mv.

    Any idea?

    Perhaps the heating circuits aren't working in the O2s and the headers have them too far fro the engine to warm up from the exhaust. Pull one of the O2s out, plug it in, turn the key on and see if it warms up. It will be pretty warm in a few minutes. If it isn't heating, check that it has power and grounds at the connector.

    A = Ground
    B = Signal
    C = Ground
    D = 12vt

      I will try to see if it is heating up. I am wondering if this issue will eventually set a P1133 code? I fixed a P1133 code on my 02 GTP and a friends 00 GTP within the past 60 days each with different issues. I wouldn't doubt it's a wiring issue since the 2 harnesses were spliced together.
      Btw CNCguy i got your double roller on this engine . And L67 injector spacers and 65mm TB. Now fly out here and fix it for me LOL
