Hey folks.
I'm just here posting about a weird trend I've had for a long time with my car as far as gas mileage goes.
About a year back, my father was driving my car one day and decided to do me a favor and filled her up. He used premium fuel...I always track my gas mileage and there was a significant jump in it that tank...
Slowly slowly it dropped off back to normal levels..
95% of the time I use regular fuel, however every now and then I'll throw in premium and I find that I get more to that tank under the same driving conditions (work commute).
In NO way am I implying premium fuel = better gas mileage, I'm not saying it's worth the money or gets you better fuel economy. I know it's not supposed to make a difference on a car designed to run on regualr.
However to me this implies that something may be wrong or finicky? What could possibly cause this to happen? Car has been performing as normal and the gas mileage is always good (average 25-26 mpg, when I use premium I get 28 mpg..usually).
This could very well be nothing and a coincidence, but I thought I'd throw it out there and see if anyone has any thoughts..
