2001 venture 3400 rough idle

Put new head gaskets on but battery was unhooked as well as computer and about the complete wiring harness. Does not want to start unless throttle is pressed then runs real rough ses code or multiple cyl misfire. What could be the cause. Have done probably 50 of these engines and never had this problem. this thing is killing me. Its my friends van and his wife needs it back 4 kids.

I got through doing the heads on a 1999 OK. You'll hate me for asking the obvious, but the pushrods were 100% correctly reinstalled? Injector wiring was sound? (Nothing pinched? Ohm-meter confirmed good resistance?) Also, any chance the 7x crank sensor insulation was chafed and is now grounding out? How about the ICM module pins where the sensor plugs in? The spark is reliable for all 6 cylinders?
