I am going to go out on a limb here and say the LIM to block (valley) seal front and rear is only formed by silicon gasket compound. I’m I correct or do I need to look for more gaskets? Anyone with a preferred brand to use? Larry

The 3500s use an actual gasket, but all other engines just use RTV.-Brad-

RTV varies
Black is the standard, many people use copper color because of a higher heat capability (not necessary for the LIM application) and then their is gray. Gray is used by many OEMs for valley sealing because it is a little stiffer and has better resistance to antifreeze. Check the labels.

clean the surfaces really well, i typically use black or copper.. never had a problem with either. 4 centers first then the 4 outers.
same sequence for a gen 2 or a large port 3x00
