I'm doing the LIM repair. I have a 1998 "M" engine in a Lumina. I'm at the point of putting the rocker covers back on and found 89 inlb for torque, no problem. But, before I pulled off the rear cover, I removed one of the two stud posts that helped hold up the ignition coil assembly and was in the way of one of the cover bolts around cylinder #5. Can anyone tell me what the torque spec is for the stud post (5.5mm socket) into the head and should I use some medium thread lock? Also, the two nuts that go on top of these stud posts which hold the Ignition Coil Assembly and the two bolts on the other side any torque spec? It's aluminum and I don't want to over tighten. Could it be 89 inlb like the rocker covers?

What do you mean stud to head? Are we still talking the same thing? I listed both the stud and the nut. Also, click the link and scroll down (about halfway), and you will find basically all of the torque specs for everything on the engine.

Sorry I didn't get back sooner. I have uploaded 2 attachments. The first shows the ignition coil assembly with a bolt at the top and a nut at the bottom. The second attachment is what I'm trying to find the torque specification for; the stud post bottom screws into the head and the nut fastens a corner of the ICA to the top of the post. I looked through the torque specification information (really a godsend compared to Chiltons or Haynes), but couldn't find that particular spec. Would it also be 18 ft-lbs? As I said, I'm a little leery about over-tightening the post on the aluminum head.

Yes, still the same. If you look at the LG8 3100 specs instead of the L82 3100 specs, it lists it slightly differently:

Not to dig up a semi old thread, but even though a 5.5mm socket can work, the correct socket is an E8 inverted torx.
