  • Possible cracked piston(s)?

What do you guys think? Consistent white puffs of vapor out the crank case ventilation smelling of raw fuel. They puff at the same speed of revolution while cranking.

I just noticed that after I decided to pull the PCV and have my brother crank it over. My heart sank right there. I kinda knew it at that moment.......cracked ringland in at least 2 pistons. Cause one would still run, like crap, but it would run....who knows.

I'll find out soon enough, I decided to take apart the whole thing and visually inspect all parts. Because I know I can put together a 60v6 and have it fire up first time, you guys understand as it's not THAT hard to do.

I just can not figure out HOW I can have a cracked piston when the engine was running great when I shut it down for hibernation. Stuff like that just doesn't happen unless.........it was the result of someone else.

This is turning into a REALLY challenging manual swap.

For those of you who have been following my postings you know I practically diagnosed everything else. I just couldn't even consider a cracked piston, it was illogical. It wasn't run yet.....lol

Ah man, I need a beer, two, three....tomorrow I have all day. I have no other option, too much invested to give up.
Working...
