I couldn't help but notice the mention of and dyno sheet posted for the Uniglide antifriction additive at the bottom of the article. The dyno sheet was so impressive I had to investigate the product because I don't recall ever seeing it on the market and couldn't imagine a product producing results as significant as what was shown being kept a secret. Well, if it looks to good to be true, it is!

Here's an article by probably the best auto enthusiast site on the web, Autospeed and what they found out in a test of Uniglide and the threats that followed. Perhaps you'd be upset to if someone demonstrated miniscule performance gains from use of your $45 per 500 ml money maker, compared to those posted in the oil shootout article which by the way, failed to include it in any tests liking to what the oils were subjected to.

This is a good to great read about oil and an inspiration for me to read up on every new or different product of any sort before buying it to make sure it's worth the investment, for example, I just purchased CPE braided steel hose only to find that it gives off gasoline fumes. Had I investigated first I would have discovered that PTFE hose was not only much better, but a little cheaper than the deal I thought I was getting. READ!

So the most advertised oil and the one with the most claims... Royal Purple. Scored below the average. I guess they spend so much on advertising then can't afford any R&D. I'll stick with my Redline thanks.

That Uniglide article was funny. 15% gains from oil. Yea right. But wait, did you add it to the transmission and differential? No, well you wont get any gains. Are you using and oil with PTFE? Yes, well you wont get any gains. LOL

actually, there was a typo for the royal purple peak HP number...

it still scored far below what it should have for the cost.

still though I have to ask what does this mean for any of us who run 5w-30 oil?

Which oils are the best for a weight which people actually use on a regular basis?

My impression overall especially for a turbo charged motor is to switch to synthetic Mobile 1, and if you have bearings on the tight side which I do, there shouldn't be a problem with going to 5W20 from 5W30 and depending on the final oil temps, add an oil cooler for maximum benefit.
