  • Question : RWD 2.8L Problems

So when I bought this truck it had more sticks/bolts than it did vacuum lines. I've removed a bunch of those and replaced with new lines but it was really a shot in the dark guess on them all. Basically now it's come down to fixing ALL of them. I really want to just rip all the old(and new) lines off and completely redo the entire thing. My only problem is every single vacuum diagram I get is totally generic and doesn't show EXACTLY which one goes where on my truck... Is it possible that someone has a stock 2.8L S10 or Blazer that could help me get these straightened out by taking some pictures?

Also, having problems with the transmission shifting weird... Almost like the valve body is sticking or something... It will go through first fine and then once it hits second it falls flat on it's face... No power at all... Almost like taking a 5speed and going from 1st to 4th. But, if you kick it hard it'll kick down into passing gear and drive like normal, or if you let it poke down the road real slow in 2nd it'll eventually pick up speed fine and go through the rest of the gears fine.

Finally (for now), I keep getting oil around the front of the intake manifold, it seems to be exactly between the timing chain cover/water pump and the intake itself. Is it possible both gaskets are leaking? Are they notorious for leaking?

Thanks for the help in advance...
