temp light barely on.

Ive noticed recently that my temp light is on slightly, its very dim, durring the day it looks like its off but at night it is visible, but not nearly as bright at the other cluster lights (my abs light is on, sensor wire rotted so i pulled the fuse) The light is so dim that if I drive from a dark street to a street with brighter more frequent street lamps it seems to get dimmer still.

Im not sure if the car is overheating. the thermostat is only a couple months old, and the water pump im assuming still works because the heat works very well.

any thoughts?

Is the ABS light right next to the coolant warning light? It might just be light bleeding across if they are. Open the dash and pull the ABS bulb out to check.

no they are on opposite sides of the instrument cluster.
