ok so this car is spiraling out, I believe I have a leaking injector diagnosed from a previous thread, going to try and find out which one(s) today, however a new problem has arisen, the first start of the day is almost impossible spent five minutes yesterday cranking the engine on with breaks so i dont wear the starter. today wouldnt start until I hit it with some carb cleaner, than ran like it usually does. could the fuel pump be going out? just replaced fpr.

alright so like 21 views and not even a your boned? anyway heres my theory and it may be sound but heres what I have got. I think the fuel filter is plugged or the pump is being uncharacteristically pump like and fading out. if my pressure is low I think that the fuel would squirt and not atomize properly causing the car to flood as it cant burn all the fuel at once, but whats crazy is for the most part my plugs are dry and CLEAN! So hopefully napa has a filter I can pick up today after work and try that might just be the filter. Thanks for looking.

Fuel Pump Relay. Once you get it started the fuel pump is running on the oil pressure switch. Check the relay socket, many times they get nasty.

thanks phone but I think I killed two birds with one stone, when my wife bought the car the po gave her a list of things that had recently been replaced fuel filter was on that list, however when I crawled under the car to replace it for S&G, I found that the filter looked extremely old, not quite as old as the 20 year old filter on my subaru but close, with the new filter installed the car doesnt hesitate nor does it die, I feel proud to drive it first time since I owned the car. Funny thing is now I see why everyone says to start with the filter on fuel delivery issues, I dont know yet if its cured my flooding but judging from the smell from the exhaust leak it has! (smells like exhaust and less like raw fuel.)
