  • Hot and hard starting

With my 3.4 Impala, when I step into the store for a couple of minutes and come back out, my car will not start on the first crank (engine hot).

I had a 3.1 Lumina and I would just touch the key and it would start.

It has always done that, sort of irritating.

    Any other time: OK.

    Any ideas, remedies?

    Big Thanks, :P

Need more engine info. It probabally has alot to do with the new Engine management systems. My dads 2004 Venture Van is the same. Where as my Sonoma with TBI injection will fire with just a flick of the key.

check fuel pressure first make sure its not dropping off, go to the store next time, when u come out turn the key on ( not engine) off... wait.. on off.. wait on and off to build up fuel pressure. then try if not hook a fuel gauge up to see wut pressure u got.. if not i say u have leaky injectors.. thats just my opinion
