  • Problems after headgasket

Well, I just finished changing my headgaskets and now it runs horribly. It almost sounds like knocking or something but I didn't mess with the cam or timing or anything. I'm thinking I may have messed up the rocker arm adjustment and gotten them too tight. Is this possible? I only ran it for like 5 seconds because it sounded so bad. Could it just be that the lifters need to fill up with oil? Should I try to let it run for a little longer or tear it down and readjust the rockers?

Well, I think I got the chatter out of the valves but now it idles at about 3000 rpms lol Any ideas? My guess is vacuum leak, but I can't think of anywhere it could be leaking. It did it so I took the upper back off and re-sealed it but it's still doing it. I changed the fuel injector o-rings this time too. That couldn't be a cause could it? That would just leak fuel wouldn't it? If you guys have any ideas or how to diagnose it, please let me know. Thanks
