  • 90 lumina 3.1 fuel pressure regulator swap

Ok, next problem to tackle. Hard starting, have to peddle the throttle to get it to start. No trouble codes, fresh plugs. Stalls at idle speeds.

From what I can tell, I think I've got a bad FPR. Can someone give me a step by step on changing this beast?

care to elaborate, in case anyone else comes across a stalling at idle/hard starting issue?
1995 Monte Carlo LS 3100, 4T60E...for now, future plans include driving it until the wheels fall off!
      Latest nAst1 files here!
Need a wiring diagram for any GM car or truck from 82-06(and 07-08 cars)? PM me!

Ended up being a wire starting to short going into the ICM/Coils. The coils weren't putting out enough spark and the plugs were fouling (or so I assume). Do a flood/clear start and it would start but stumble like mad with the idle all over the place as the IAC tried to keep the thing running.

Fixed the frayed wire, runs on all 6 like a top.

...and the fastest way to eliminate the FPR as being involved is to pull the FPR Vacuum Line Hose... if there is a heavy smell of gasoline or actual fuel leaking out...then the FPR has failed (pinhole leak...tear in pressure bladder, etc..) and can be repaired via kit(s) available from RockAuto...
