96 Buick Regal 3.1 where does cam sensor wire go?

I am in the middle of doing the lower intake gasket and some tune up stuff. I have completed the job 99.9% but cannot find what plugs into the cam sensor pigtail. I can't find it spent all day pulled the upper intake back off still nothing. Even went under the car.

The wire I'm looking for is the one right in front that runs along the head with the electrical tape on it.


THIS PICTURE WAS TAKEN BEFORE I REMOVED THE LOWER INTAKE. THE MOTOR IS MOSTLY PUT BACK TOGETHER NOW.

I see that it goes under the intake near the TB. I have looked at another 3100 motor I still could not see where it goes. I would appreciate any help I cannot find this connector!!!

That wire should be in the same harness as the fuel injector wires. I can't remember the plug config, or if there is a similar plug anywhere, but is there a chance you plugged it in to the wrong spot?

I checked that harness. I followed the wires to the injectors, MAP sensor, TPS and ECT sensor.

I think the 96 achieva 3100 had it ran back by the alternator.

I found the wire. I had it plugged into the EGR valve. The EGR plug was close by and I couldn't figure out where that went. I never thought I plugged it into the wrong connector. So this is a closed case, thanks guys.
