  • head gasket?

i was changing the plugs on my little 4 banger in one of my rettas and i had to use alot of force to remove the number 4 plug.
afterward i noticed that there was a green spot on the engine in that area, so i investigated and it was coolant.
just wondering if someone could tell me if i could have messed up the head gasket using too much force getting the plug out

Doubt if you messed up a head gasket. Unless you are The Hulk. And I don't think the water jacket runs close enough to the plug hole to cause concern. Make sure you use anti-sieze on your plugs though. Hopefully you didn't strip the threads.

Brother-in-law has the same problem on a 91 Berreta V-6. I get to tear it down next week. Lucky me. Can't charge relatives. He does buy the beer though.
