  • stable engine with upgrades?

im always worried im going to do something to my 3100 engine that required a supporting mod and im going to fudge something up. so im going to double check first and make sure i dont need something else before i do what i have planned.

i'm going to put in a strip cam on stock compression with the supporting mods of stiffer springs, lifter springs, and custom length pushrods with all new gaskets. im going to flat out say this car gets pushed to its limits. it gets raced. will there be any unforeseen issue with those mods or do i need something else. im not trying to blow my engine.

what car? You'll need to tune it... I'd go with AL-3 Clevite SBC cam bearings, to support the cam stress (DO NOT use sealed power even on a stock cam).

First few posts are BS, but you will get to the discussion on cam bearings, and Sealed Power in particular.
