FieroV6 starts then dies

Fiero V6 starts OK idles at 1400 for a few seconds then RPMs slowly drop till it stalls. Fuel pressure is OK and vacuum seems normal but drops as RPMs slow. It will do this dozens of times in a row. If and when it warms a bit, idle stabilizes but now it sputters and backfires as throttle is opened.

Engine has been transplanted as a swap into an old british car, What could I have screwed up in transferring the engine and computer?
