  • 2.8 tapping

I bought this little truck with the intent of driving it daily....
I have gotten in over my head.....when I bought it the idle was WAAAAY high....
I have since replaced ecm, tps, iac, brake booster, idler pulley, and serpentine belt......
    it idles great now....ughh....
now when you drive it it runs great....until it starts to get warm...
then it gradually loses power and developes an tap/knock....
any idea what this could be? is there anything common on this motor that would cause somethign of this nature?
if it isn't something simple I guess I'm just going to ahve to cut my losses....
    thanks in advance guys!

I am no expert, but tapping after warming up sounds like lifters collapsing after the oil warms up and thins out... what oil are you running, have you changed it recently?
