  • Question : P/S Pulley Install

    1996 Grand Prix SE 3100v6

I rented a PS Pulley Puller from Advance Auto. But I don't believe it has an installer.

Can I gently tap the PS Pulley back on? IDK if it takes a llittle while tapping it in. I just dont want to damage anything.

Or is there a thread in there I can use to torque in. I'm not near my car so i can't look atm.

If at worst case, I could rent an installer but I'll have to wait a week to do that. I really don't want to wait that long.

    Thanks guys

Ironically, you can use this kit from the post in the crank pulley thread, lol. I own one of the kits mentioned, and it does work but can be a pain some times.

So I have to rent the tool. Ok, better wait to do it right then rush into breaking something.

      Thanks

Actually that kit at Harbor Freight is a bought item. But it's only $20, plus you can probably score a 20% off coupon online.

            Thanks guys.

I rented the tool for $35 and the pulley is now installed correctly.

Just another small step towards the completion of this turbo project.

Each day I'm getting closer and closer to finish. By then, I have lots of tuning to do.

Then it's show time, hehehe. With videos of course. I plan to show off my creation of madness. AAAhhhh the POWER, hahahahaaa.
