I believe someone with a tuner programmer on here could disable the Passlock system if you sent them your PCM while repairing the engine.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

Aight guys got a motor I can get my hands on for free. It runs and it doenst seem like the motor is hurt.....but there a lot of smoke out the tail pipe, it looses coolant like crazy and the oil dipstick is covered in the "chocolate milk". So Im guessing it def. has the intake gasket failure. She said it started loosing coolant in Oct. and now it has problems starting so she's just sick of it. I got it to start and run, I think the coolant was just flooding the combustion chamber. So what damage might already be done and do you guys think its worth my time to change the oil, do a flush, swap to proper gaskets and swap it in. Or is this a process that cant be stopped once its started?Last edited by blckcavy; 01-14-2010, 02:45 PM.

And all bearings for sure (rods, mains, cam). Don't chance reusing bearings after a bad LIM gasket leak.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

This time of year, you will find some condensation mixture in the valve cover area which will look the same, but will not be a bad gasket.Your local OBDII moderator
