    124 Lbs-in then an additional 30*

There is no gap or adjustment, hydraulic.

If you have noise, one may of backed off or a sticking lifter?

Assuming that your nickname reveals your engine to be a 93-95 GM Chevrolet V-6 L-32 3.4L 207 CID VIN "S" engine, a more accurate piece of information comes now to you in the form of two screen prints of how to do this very valve adjusting job according to the proper GM 93-95 Camaro-Firebird Carline Series Shop Manuals:

I hope you realize that he was pulling your leg...

There is no fastener on your engine that requires 124 Ft Lbs of Torque... if you apply that much twisting force to the valve adjustment locking nuts anywhere on your valve train... you will either strip the threads off of the interior of the lock nut... or you will crush the rocker arm into the head and wind up snapping off the rocker arm support bolt from inside the head.

Actually Typo, for most of the latter 60* I see spec of
124 Inch Feet then 30* (sorry, so used to typing Feet)
However, going by Username, I would think post #5 to be the correct one!!!
