Testing of Coil Packs... How?

I am about to put my 2.8 back together, have it rippedf down for a head gasket, and i wanted to test the coils while they are easily accesable.

I heard you could just test them with a voltmeter.

If anyone could tell me how to do this i would greatly apreciate it.
