Question : Another LIM thread. Please help.

A co-worker has a 90 W-body with a 3.1L . It's time for the lower intake gasket to be done.

Now question is will the new style 3100 LIM gasket from the felpro MS98004T kit work on the older style intake and head.

We work in a parts store and have compared the fel pro MS96046 listed for the car, vs the MS98004T , it looks like the ports almost the same, yet slightly different.

We are intertested in useing the newer gasket because these are the updated design, and seal better.

Any help is appreciated!

I don't think that it will work as the newer gasket should have push rod guides for the newer valve train. I am sure there are other problems as well, but that is off the top of my head.
