3400 LIM coolent leak

I am rebuilding a 3400 GrandAm engine that I bought to put into an MGB.

I've pulled completely down and am now reassembling it.

I notice that there is some white encrustation around the metal pipe where it attaches to the LIM. I am assuming that it is from a coolant leak. Is there an O-ring on this pipe that needs replacing or is it a press fit? If it is a press fit do you have any recommendations on sealing it?

pipe is a press fit. the whole pipe will need to be replaced. when installing it use red loctite, thats what i do and seem to have good luck.

Any recommendations on how to remove it without damaging it? I'm thinking a squirt of WD-40 and some gentle twisting.
