  • engine swaps x2

    looking for info on engine swaps. there are two that i may be looking to do. My brother in-law has a 86 camaro with a multi port fuel injected 2.8l w/ a 5-speed manual trans and he wants to put a 350 in to it. any info will be helpful. allso i have a 86 s10 4x4 with a 2.8l tbi w/ a 4-speed automatic and i want to put his mpfi 2.8l in to it

    any ideas please let me know

    EGR Modification
    4.3l tbi unit w/ spacer.

    Put a 3.4L into the S-10 you will be much happier.

        True enought. But the 2.8L will not be free either. Remember you have to convert the whole fuel delivery system over. You may not have to pay for components. But all the odds and ends an replacement parts you may need will add up.

                DOES IT MATTER WHAT CAR IT COMES OUT OF. YOU KNOW BESIDES A REAR WHEEL DRIVE.ALSO WHAT CARS HAD A COMPATIBLE ENGINE

                      Only RWD blocks will work in an S10. I think the F-bodies are the only cars that came with a longitudinal 3.4l.

                          If you go to mpfi just snag the harness out of a fwd car (COMPLETE) with a 5spd (since you have a non computer controlled tranny) and wire the whole thing in.
                          Why pay someone to do the work, it costs alot and you don\'t learn s*^t!!!
