  • 96 lumina idle problem

I just swapped my throttle to a 56mm. Once installed and started it had a lopey idle until alittle warm and runs at 150-200 rpms higher. Can anyone help me out about to pull the rest of hair out.

your idle speed should drop as it gets warmer... the way i'm taking this is that it was working exactly opposite?

Did you use your original sensors or the ones that came with the 56mm TB? I have seen people have issues before similar to this, and they went away when the original sensors were used.

I used the original sensors. When i removed original sensors from the 52mm the IAC was very dirty and was cleaned. The car today when started had a lopey idle and once warmed it stopped and idled at about 900 rpm.

The parts from wot-tech and pretty sure i was set since i'm sure they done this a million times before. Before i installed i made sure the throttle was snapping back shut and i didn't really see no gaps.

I figured it out i had to put a hole in throttle plate like the old one had. Now car is idling way better and even drives better.
