I have a 3.1l mpfi swapped into my fiero and im having some drivability issues with it. When its first started the idle runs up then drops then runs up and drops again very quickly, then it floats all over the place between normal and 1500 or so. When driving if you are moving and come to a stop for too long it will stall and die but starts right back up. If you try to gas it at a stop before it stalls it will sputter for a few seconds then run fine until you let off the gas and come to a stop again. Im only getting codes for high and low map wtf? and fuel pump relay. it seems like an iac prpblems but that and the tps are new.

It sounds like it's trying to do an idle relearn. What transmission?Kaiser George IX: 1996 Buick Century Special wagon. 213-SFI. 250k miles. Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down. First documented LX9 swap in an A-body! Click here to read my build thread!

I used a rebuilt 3spd th125 from the fiero. I tried to do the idle learn procedure but it wouldn't run for more than 4 or 5 min at a time. Especially in gear. I drove it to a friends shop and he did some tests that lead him to belive it has a big vaccum leak. Said that the map wasnt getting any vaccum and the motor itself wasnt creating any. A question i had though about the vac ports on the throttle body, the one closest to the front of the car is for the fuel rail, second is for evap and the third is for the MAP correct? Also is it common to have lim or uim gasket leaks?
