3400 Turbo bad regulator

how much boost can a stock 3400 regulator take before it pops? im swapping mine out today because the car mad a pop and is running like crap, there gas in the vacuum line so that has to be my problem. It actually happend on the test drive and was pulling really good then pop... hopefully its not a reoccuring event in that case ill have to go to the parts yard and stock up!

strange. i never had a problem with my regulator running 12psi. mine was new though so.. you could always put in a check valve in the vac line.
