This may have been previously answered but what parts are compatible between a Small Block Chevy and the 60 degree family? I keep seeing parts and kits that APPEAR to interchange that are much less expensive for the SBC than the 3.4. Rocker arm kits are a good example as well as piston, pushrod, and lifter kits...

Pistons wont.
Rocker arms will with the proper parts, cam bearings will, pushrods are the same design but different length, flat tappet hydraulic lifters will and so will some solid lifters. Some ignition components like the ignition coil and after market CD ignition boxes work. 5.7" con rods work with the correct modifications.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma

I was curious as I need (want) new rocker arms, rocker studs, pushrods, and lifters (if I buy the cam separately). It seems that rocker arms sold in a set for a SBC are significantly less expensive than the same rocker set for a 60degreeV6. Same seems to go for other generic hardware... and I end up with spares!
