maybe a stupid question, but i figure if any1 knows it will be some1 on this forum

alright i have found a bare spliced wire sitting down by my battery. aparently i extended it at some point but im totally clueless to where it goes (could be a ground) its long enough to go around the front of my engine but no trace of any other wire it could have been attached to. the GM fold out 20 page wiring diagram is gonna give me nightmares. i traced it to the passenger side firewall, its one of 2 yellow wires. does any1 happen to know what that connector on the passenger side firewall is called?????? i have no idea if its the same name for all the gm cars or not... i cant even get it off to see if there is a number..

well it turns out i still had a wire from my origonal 3400 swap i never soldered on (wire got cought pulling the 2.8 i believe). i looked through 2 wiring diagrams with a friend, even traced the wire to the ecm.. everything said it was the VSS.. but it couldnt be the vss because that was hooked up and the wires were not yellow like the 2 books said.. then 2 hours later i noticed my "backup lights" only had one wire attached.. the other was yellow haha. must have knocked it off sometime while it was parked cuzz my speedo worked last time i drove it
