Dang guys, you're making me paranoid! What with all this talk about leaking gaskets and all.
Six months ago I replaced the front valve cover gasket as it was leaking and noticed that the inside of the valve cover was all brownish. The top of the valves was all normal in color. This cover is the air inlet for the crankcase ventilation. Since I live in a area of high humidity and do all city driving (average trip is 3 miles) I assumed this was from the air coming in.
I change the oil every 3 months and haven't noticed anything usual.
But now I'm wondering....
