question about power steering....

is there anyway to possibly bleed the power steering system?? jus askin cuz when its balls out cold and i start my car in the morning, the power steering pump whines really loud. Then after checking to see if the fluid level was fine noticed that it was full, but it was foamy. My dude told me i had air in my PS sytem. It only does it when its cold, after it warms up and maybe driving for 5 or so miles,the whine goes away. thanx

After the new pump is in, belt reinstalled and tensioned, refill the system with the correct fluid. Then--preferably with the front wheels just off the ground and with the engine idling--rotate the steering wheel from left stop to right stop a dozen times to burp excess air from the system. Recheck the fluid level in a couple of days.
