    Hi rev

    No,

No it doesn't sound normal, it sounds like the transmission may be slipping. Check fluid level, hot engine. Check the modulator vacuum line for leaks etc. What is the quality of the shifts under light throttle versus LEAD foot.?

Maybe someone swapped a crazy hybrid or a DOHC in there when you weren't looking?

the thing is it doesnt slip-it just goes high RPMs when i run it hard as hell-but there is -absolutely- no slipping. under regular or aggressive driving situations everything is perfectly normal, but at no point does the trans slip.

1991, didn't you have a vac line going to the manifold from the tranny? If this line is pinched/cut/unplugged will cause that problem.

its actually a 1990, i found this out because i just found the title recently :S but unless i have it at 3/4 throttle or more it shifts perfectly.

maybe some adjustment to the TV cable?
