  • Question : o2 sensor

How many o2 sensors are on my '95 GP, I kno there in the one right up front and one around the cat right. Is there any others?

How can I tell if its bad?
I bought this car almost a year ago with 158K on it and now its at 165K. I don't kno the past history of repairs so what is the chance that I need to replace them.

I have had some weird things go on like if I put the pedal to the floor the check engine light will come on and then when I let out of it the light will go off but the car will not shift into 4th unless I turn the car off.

I have had the head gasket and the intake gasket replaced. wires, plugs and put a RAI on it. I have a Jet chip stage 2 but that isn't hurting anything because if I take it off it will still do it. I ported the UIM and TB.

Only thing that really will need fixed is the trans.

So I guess what I am asking is if the o2 sensor could have anything to do with the check engine light coming on at WOT and if I should replace it.

There are only those 2. It wouldn't hurt to replace them since you don't know the history of the car. Sounds like one or both are possibly causing your issues.

Have you scanned for any stored trouble codes?

OBD1.5 is untuneable.. there is no chip.. and i dont think there is 2 O2 sensors only one on the manifold... OBD2 has 2 O2 sensors
