This is supposed to be a new crate motor for a 03 monte carlo but, I don't know how long it's been sitting. It's been around a bit, First jbodyconnection(or something like that) sold it to g-u-not then I bought it off of him when he decided he was selling all his stuff. Well anyway it looks new except these two cylinders must have got some water or something in them somewhere in it's travel. So what do you guys think, do I have to do anything about it or will it be okay?

knowing who has touched it.. i'd pull it all apart, have it tanked, honed and install all new bearings.

I would advise that as well. He is a criminal and I would not shit on something that motherfucker touched...well maybe I would.Lots of mods cost lots of $$

pull it apart and inspect everything, if the cam bearings are showing any copper then replace them.. If the mains or rod bearings show any wear then replace them too..
I'd soak those 2 cyls in WD-40 and clean out as much as possible, then run a hone through all 6.
remember, if the cyls rusted there is probably pitting. If the pits are deep enough they will cause problems.

Well I took those 2 pistons out last night and honed those 2 cylinders, I don't know that they are perfect now but I think they should be okay. the cam lobes show no sign of wear, the connecting rod bearings looked brand new, So I think it was just from sitting and those 2 cylinders got a little moisture of some kind in them. I'm hoping everything will turn out okay once I get it in and running. I get real nervous about working on the inside of motors, I guess because I don't have much experience working on the internals. Thanks for the advice/help.

I'd pull everything you can and coat it all in a good quality assembly lube, the red stuff that Melling sells is great.
