  • 2.8 Insufficient oil to rocker arms

1987 S10 developed a nasty squeaking noise. Pulled off left bank valve cover to find #4 intake rocker arm dry. Removed the rocker arm & pushrod, and checked for plugged pushrod. Pushrod was ok. Reassembled & started to check oil flow. #2 Exhaust flowing ok as is #6 Exhaust. Everything in between either is barely flowing or, no flow. What could be causing this? Engine carries about 40 psi oil pressure.

    Clogged pushrod maybe?

Lifter is maybe the next suspect seeing only that one isn't flowing.
