          • ill give them a little call on friday and he can overnight the lifters, this is slightly rediculous its been a month now, i just want the damn car so i can drive it this year.

                • while you are waiting.. pull the timing cover and verify that your cam bolt is torqued to 104 ft-lbs.

                  that solved all the valvetrain noise issues that we had in Damon's 3400. His sounded just like yours.

                  • 104 ft lbs...G-D thats more than the wheels, my question is, how the hell do you hold the cam still to do that? even with the sprocket and chain? you have to use a crank socket?

                    • Just to touch on the subject of money orders (yea, I know, two pg's ago), just use a US Postal Service money order. 1, you can get a receipt, and 2, if you get shafted on the deal, it's a federal crime - mail fraud !!! The Postal inspectors take a real dim view of it.

                      • i just jammed a 3" 3/8ths drive extension in one of the holes on the cam sprocket and turned the motor by hand until it caught on a boss on the block. holds it still really well

                          • I just tightened it down and the motor didn't turn over... well maybe it did and I put a screwdriver in the flexplate starter teeth. I can't remember.

                            • i used my old shitty breaker bar going the opposite direction to torque the cam gear down so i know thats not going anywhere. i had the spark plugs out so there wasnt anything holding the motor from turning on that aspect.

                              and yes i did use a postal money order so how do i go about pursuing that matter never had to deal with crap like this.

                              • wow finally got a hold of someone from this place. kid claims he shipped them out 10 days ago and i got a confirmation number out of him which the guy at the post office says doesnt exist.

                                anyways he says hell ship another set out today so if by next friday i still have nothing, im taking my receipt to the post office and getting my money back.
